For decades, the sounds of engines, crashing metal, and the PA announcer could be heard around Jennings County nearly every Friday and Saturday night. This 1/4 mile dirt track oval sits on 45 acres of scenic land surrounded by the Muscatatuck River. Jennings County has a rich history in racing. Wilber Shaw, the first Indy 500 winner, is buried at Vernon Cemetery, and the 1957 Indy 500 pole winner, Pat O’Connor, is a Jennings County native. Twin Cities Raceway has been shuttered for several years now. This historic dirt track is ready for a new vision. The property features grandstands, concessions, pits, parking, and more. Twin Cities is perfectly located between other historic racetracks, such as Lawrenceburg, Brownstown, and Salem. Fans from Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Louisville are only an hour away.
